Wright Winger

Although Barack Hussein Obama once declared that the Islamic call to prayer is "one of the prettiest sounds on Earth," it seems likely that he's now found one even more pleasing: the sound of rioting anti-American mobs across the Middle East.

What we're seeing is more than the result of four years of appeasement by this president's administration...we're seeing the consequences of four years of his actually encouraging radical Islam while backing away from America's allies.

There is far too much news, quickly changing, for Hope n' Change to list here. But consider the fact that credible sources now report that the U.S. had intelligence warnings of potential attacks in Cairo and Benghazi a full 48 hours before the murderous violence began - yet did nothing. No warnings were issued, no lockdowns occurred, and security was not increased - perhaps out of fear that doing so would appear to be a "provocation." And so four Americans were killed, including a U.S. ambassador.

And on that same terrible day, Barack Hussein Obama rejected a request for a meeting from Benjamin Netanyahu to discuss the growing likelihood of a war with Iran (a despotic regime sworn to Israel's destruction which Obama has done everything in his power to make into a nuclear-armed nation) because he thinks it's more important to make a campaign appearance on the Dave Letterman show.

But the president has found room in his busy schedule to meet with the president of Egypt's Muslim Brotherhood and mention in passing that he (Obama) does not consider Egypt itself to be an ally of the United States.

It would be easy to label Barack Obama as "America's chicken coming home to roost," to paraphrase his longtime pastor's declaration that our nation deserved the attacks of 9/11. But the real problem is not that Obama is cowardly.

Quite the contrary: he is unbelievably bold about advancing the cause of the Muslim Brotherhood throughout the Middle East (going so far as to fund it with billions of taxpayer dollars), and unbelievably transparent in his preference for all things Islamic to all things American.

But to return to the words of Obama's "spiritual mentor," the Reverend Jeremiah Wright, it is not God who has damned America...but the voters, synchophants, supporters, backroom dealers, and media enablers who through stupidity, greed, malice, or desire for power put a president in office who believes our nation should be humbled and broken (if not outright destroyed) for the good of the world.

Make no mistake: Obama is driving the world towards a war which he expects and desires the West to lose. And nightmarishly, there is no man in the world currently more able to assure that grim outcome.

Bounce Like a Rubber Check

The mainstream media was beyond delighted to report that Barack Obama got a bounce from the Democratic Convention which would put a ball of Flubber to shame - launching him into the upper stratosphere of the polls while Mitt Romney remained earthbound and choking on Barry's dust.

The only problem? It wasn't true. In order to produce even the illusion of a post-convention bounce (especially after disastrous jobs news the morning after Obama's speech), various alleged news organizations had to conduct polls which significantly oversampled democrats - perhaps because the polls were conducted during business hours and republicans were at work.

A more reliable poll shows the race at a virtual tie - which still suggests that way too many Americans either aren't paying attention or that they are, to put it charitably, drooling self-pleasuring idiots who fart in the bathtub and giggle as they snap at the bubbles.

It is a fact that in the final 8 weeks of this presidential race, we're going to hear a lot of poll numbers which are "untruthful" (to put it mildly) and created only to dispirit the Right. So we're not going to play that game.

Let us, instead, pay attention to some genuinely significant numbers in the run-up to the election. Like the fact that Obama has spent 412 hours in economic meetings, but 600 hours on the golf course. And that in 2011 and 2012, the busy-busy-busy president has skipped his daily national security intelligence briefings almost two-thirds of the time. No wonder Obama thought it was an accomplishment just to vote "present" when he was a community-organizing Senator from Illinois.

But despite our skepticism about the MSM's claim of a nonexistent Obama "bounce," we do think he's going to be getting one soon.

And he'll be bounced right out of the Whitehouse.

Remember

Just for today, I've turned off the comments section. It is a day on which conversation should give way to silent and solemn contemplation...that our pain and loss may be transformed into lasting resolve.

Fun with Numbers!

Less than 24 hours after Barack Obama's big convention speech in which he assured us that the American economy has come roaring back and his plans are working perfectly, a new jobs report came out which suggests, ever so subtly, that the president is having Shinola recognition difficulties.

Not only was job creation pathetic, but another 368,000 workers gave up even looking for work - which in the magical statistical world of Obama means that they've ceased to exist. That's approximately enough people to have filled Obama's "unfillable" stadium in Charlotte five times.

So with jobs, jobs, jobs being the issue on everyone's minds, Barack Obama is hitting the campaign trail to say what must be urgently said: that Medicare might be more expensive in the year 2030, when neither he nor Romney will be president.

Specifically, the president is citing a brand new, totally impartial study by the chief medical advisor for Obama's 2008 campaign, stating that in the year 2030, senior citizens would pay an additional $124,600 in Medicare costs under the Romney plan. (The study does not mention, however, that under Obama's policy of inflating our money, $124,600 will also be the cost of a Grande Capuccino at Starbucks in 2030...or that Obamacare has already raised the average cost of health insurance $2500 for people unfortunate enough to be living in the present).

While the president's numbers may not be entirely accurate, it is true that if people are going to have Medicare in the future, they're going to have to pay something for it. Because under Barack Obama's current plan to do nothing whatsoever to preserve the program, the Medicare trust funds run out in 2024.

And yet, he's using this bass-ackward position as an actual bragging point on the campaign trail because he knows A) his supporters don't want to pay for anything ever, B) they can't do math, C) the media won't challenge him on it, and D) if Romney won't show his tax returns, how do we know he isn't giving big donations to NAMBLA and the Ku Klux Klan?! Hey! Look over there!!!

Frankly, despite his new "Barack to the Future" theme, we think the president should pay a little less attention to 2030, and a lot more attention to the 368,000 who, just last month, lost all hope in any future whatsoever.

Hey Barry, whatever happened to "the fierce urgency of NOW?"
